Their founder and director, Brent Phipps, has carefully selected each member of the Ranga team based on their values and commitment to exceeding client expectations. BRENT PHIPPS
Brent has grown up with horticulture & landscape construction, having pursued it from a young age under the mentorship of the best in Sydney. After moving to Byron Bay, Brent started Byron Bay Ranga to pursue his passion for positively connecting people with their natural environment and the healing benefits that are created through this connection.

RHYS STRATTON
Rhys has a decade of landscape construction experience. With a keen eye for detail, he started his journey within the industry down on the south coast, where he led several construction teams, delivering high-end results. He is passionate about creating sustainable, low-maintenance native Australian landscapes that complement our existing land.
LEAD HORTICULTURALIST
TOM MONTEITH
Meet Tom, an experienced horticulturist with seven years in the field. Trained at Ryde College of TAFE on the Central Coast, he's developed a deep understanding of plant care, landscape design, and plant identification. Skilled in detailed pruning techniques and hands-on expertise, Tom combines professionalism with warmth, passionately creating stunning outdoor spaces.
GARDEN MAINTENANCE MANAGER
JAXSON STRATTON
Jaxson has always loved the outdoors, translating into a passion for horticulture and the environment. He began his work in Sydney, working for several gardening companies in team leader roles. Jackson's strengths are great communication, plant identification skills, and pest & disease management. But most importantly, he enjoys working with clients to maintain their properties to the highest of standards.
LANDSCAPE PLUMBER / IRRIGATION SPECIALIST
JOSH CLARKE
Josh is a key member of the Byron Bay Ranga team, bringing extensive expertise from his background in plumbing and irrigation. Educated at Wyong TAFE in the Central Coast with a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens, Josh has been excelling in the landscaping industry since 2012. Known for his technical skills and outstanding people skills, he is dedicated to delivering superior service and ensuring customer satisfaction on every project. Josh's commitment and passion for landscaping guarantee that all projects meet the highest standards.
CREATIVE / DESIGN LEAD
MIKE CASS
We partner with Mike Cass Creative, who operates on one ambitious ethos - offering clients proportion. Proportion is a powerful concept, as it is the perfect combination of form and function, innovation and intuition, affordability and awe-inspiring results. Mike is not just driven by seeing his work take shape but also by the joy it brings his clients - he helps to transform not only backyards but entire lifestyles.
